The Thor in this picture…. you would swear that it was….. but is is NOT me.
No… NOT ME!
I first saw a picture of this guy last fall, and everyone was shocked to find out that it was actually a picture of somebody else. Even my own mother thought it was a picture of me, when I showed it to her.
It wasn’t until last night that I thought of this picture again, and decided to find photographer, thinking he might be able to identify this guy.
This would be the original picture.
I immediately found the photographer, who replied this morning. He did not know who this guy was. But he did tell me that this was taken at Comic Con last year, in Santiago, Chile. So I searched more today, and I found a whole ton more pictures of this guy. But still nothing to identify who this is.

He definitely has my eyes and my cheekbones, but the more angles I see of him, it’s clear that he has a wider chin/jaw than I do. I think that the facial hair does a lot to mask that aspect, which helps make him look so similar to me. I wonder what he would look like without it, or even without the long hair.
It is so funny to me that my “twin” dresses as Thor, while I dress as Loki. Wouldn’t it be crazy if he & I took pictures together, in our respective costumes? It would probably result in some crazy Paradoxial Doctor Who Wibbley-Wobbley Timey-Whimey sort of catastrophe.
Anyone know who this guy is? Not saying I have some long lost brother or anything, because I know there isn’t one. hahayou must be sooo creeped out about ti!O_O amazing!

I found another photographer who had taken pictures of him, and wrote to find out if he knew anything. All he said to me was that this guy is not a costumer, and was “hired by Marvel for the booth”. The booth was for Moviecity, so I don’t know if the 2 companies are related, if Marvel hooked them up with the guy, or if he was mistaken & actually meant Moviecity had hired him. That was all the info he had on him.
The booth also had a Mystique there, who was likely also hired. She was being painted up by a local body paint guy, whom I’ve tried contacting through his facebook page, but no response. Perhaps if someone here knows Spanish well, they could try contacting the painter? It seems like he was at the booth the entire time, and he probably has some info on him.

Hube Salamanca, is probably my strongest bet of finding out who this is. I believe he has both a personal facebook, as well as a page for his bodypainting. So far I have only tried him via flickrmail, the fan page, and I think I attempted to contact him on google +, but don’t recall if I ever found an email link there (I’ve never really used my account there).
I even made a post in the Chile section, over on cosplay.com’s forums, but that section seems to be a ghost town.
So I’m STILL SEARCHING for a name! :)

So I still can’t shake the creepy fact that there is someone else out there who looks nearly identical to me.
The last time I posted the picture of this Thor, I intentionally tried to find an existing picture of me where I most resembled him. This time I tried to copy the pose and facial expression he made.
Again, let me remind you THE THOR IS NOT ME!

Loki is all dressed up for tonight’s Oscars. The people you saw in the seats were all “actors”, as he has the real people out on the red carpet, all kneeling for him!
